Václav Klaus is a Czech economist and politician who served as President of the Czech Republic (2003–2013) and Prime Minister (1992–1997). A long-standing advocate for free-market economics and national sovereignty, Klaus is known internationally for his skepticism of climate change alarmism and European federalism. He has authored multiple books on economics, politics, and EU governance. After his presidency, Klaus remained active as a public intellectual, giving lectures and participating in global policy debates. His views challenge mainstream environmental narratives and emphasize economic freedom and skepticism of supranational institutions.
